2011 and Beyond
2010 marked the first year we hosted JAM – Japan Arts Matsuri (festival), the Japanese cultural event in its 8th year. Held in Brooklyn’s Green Point in the past, we are planning to bring the event to a more convenient location starting in 2011. We are looking at prospective venues in Manhattan and Williamsberg, Brooklyn among other areas. We also plan to add more seminars and events dealing with wider range of public interests, both academic and in entertainment, in the future.
As for our long-term goal, we hope to connect with other NPO/Social Service/Charity Organizations, both Japanese and non-Japanese, in New York City area. We firmly believe that various organizations cooperating/working together would be beneficial not only for our target communities but also for each organization to provide truly useful services to its target communities.
